Job summary

Rubicon People Partnership is recruiting a CNC Miller Operator in Poole to join a precision engineering manufacturer. The role focuses on loading, handling and passing milled components with focus on accuracy and quality.

You will work Monday to Thursday 07:30–16:30 and finish at 13:00 on Fridays, earning £14 per hour. The position offers hands-on training, a structured workshop and clear opportunities to progress towards programming with experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a machining, engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of how milling machines cut and shape metal.
• Knowledge of common cutting tools, drills, milling cutters and inserts.
• Confident use of measuring equipment such as vernier calipers and micrometers.
• A methodical, accurate approach to quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload components and castings on milling machines.
• Position castings accurately, ready for machining.
• Check finished parts using vernier calipers, micrometers and gauges.
• Inspect components for defects and report any quality issues.
• Follow safe operating procedures and keep the work area clean and organised.

Earn £14 per hour as a Milling Operator with an established precision engineering manufacturer in Poole. Every component you load, check and pass goes into high-quality products where accuracy really counts. Work Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:30 and finish at 13:00 on Fridays.
