Rubicon Recruitment in Poole is seeking a CNC Miller Operator to join a precision engineering manufacturer. The role offers daytime hours with no nights or weekends, from Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:30 and Friday until 13:00, with an hourly rate of £14.

Earn £14 per hour as a Milling Operator with an established precision engineering manufacturer in Poole. In this hands-on position you will load/unload components, set up castings for milling, and verify quality using calipers and micrometers,

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a machining, engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of how milling machines cut and shape metal.
• Knowledge of common cutting tools, drills, milling cutters and inserts.
• Confident use of measuring equipment such as vernier calipers and micrometers.
• A methodical, accurate approach to quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload components and castings on milling machines.
• Position castings accurately, ready for machining.
• Check finished parts using vernier calipers, micrometers and gauges.
• Inspect components for defects and report any quality issues.
• Follow safe operating procedures and keep the work area clean and organised.
