Service Service is seeking a Mechanical Inspector in Norwich to join an established engineering and manufacturing business. You will inspect components against drawings and specifications, and record results with accuracy.

The role requires GD&T knowledge, experience with handheld measurement tools, and the ability to work both independently and in a small team in a busy environment. A full UK driving licence may be needed for occasional visits.

Competenze

• Previous experience in a quality or inspection role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience using handheld precision measuring equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Computer literate, particularly with Excel and Word.
• Able to work independently and as part of a small team.

Mansioni

• Carry out inspections of components in line with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform dimensional measurements using micrometres, vernier callipers, dial test indicators and other precision equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
• Inspect surface coatings and commercially sourced components against specifications.
• Identify and report quality issues, following up on corrective actions.
• Work with engineering, manufacturing and other departments to resolve inspection queries.
• Record inspection results and maintain accurate documentation.
