Job summary

Workforce Staffing is helping a Surrey-based precision engineering company recruit a Mechanical Inspector for a permanent, full-time position in Esher. You will inspect precision-machined components throughout manufacturing to ensure conformance with drawings and customer quality standards.

You will work with production and engineering to resolve issues, maintain traceability, and keep inspection records up to date.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Mechanical Inspector or Quality Inspector in precision engineering/manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Experience using inspection equipment: verniers, micrometers, height gauges/towers.

Responsibilities

• Carry out in-process and final inspection of precision-machined components.
• Inspect components against drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and dimensional reports.
• Identify non-conforming components and report them.
• Collaborate with machinists and engineers to resolve quality issues.
