Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Fitter/Technician in the Daventry area to join the workshop team. You will participate in assembly, build, repair and reconditioning, with occasional travel to customer sites across the UK or further.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment.
• Ability to read technical drawings (schematics).
• Practical, proactive problem solving approach.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Safety-conscious and able to work to procedures.
• Good communication and team-working skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, build, fit and repair products in the workshop.
• Occasionally attend customer sites for installations or service.
• Carry out quality control inspections to ensure standards are met.
• Read and work from technical drawings and client specifications.
• Maintain tools and workshop organisation; ensure safety.
