Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Fitter/Technician in Daventry to join the workshop team. You will engage in assembly, build, repair and reconditioning work with occasional travel to customer sites across the UK or further.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment.
• Ability to read technical drawings (schematics).
• Flexible with working hours.
• Attention to detail and quality.
• Proficient with hand tools and bench work.
• Able to work independently or in a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, build, fit and repair products in the workshop and on customer sites.
• Carry out quality inspections to ensure standards.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and client specifications.
• Ensure work is completed safely and in line with procedures.
• Collaborate with production and technical teams.
• Maintain tools and keep the workshop clean and organized.
