Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Fitter/Technician in the Daventry area to join the workshop team. You will perform assembly, build, repair and reconditioning tasks with occasional travel to customer sites across the UK or further.

The role offers a salary up to £33,000 depending on experience, with a full benefits package including pension, health insurance and life cover. Training will be provided to develop specialist skills in a very niche industry.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment is required.
• Practical, proactive approach to problem solving.
• Ability to read technical drawings and work instructions.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing, building, fitting and repairing products in the workshop and on customer sites.
• Carry out quality control inspections to ensure standards are met.
• Read schematics and client specifications and work instructions.
• Ensure work is completed safely and in line with procedures.
• Maintain tools and keep the workshop clean and organized.
