Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Fitter for a permanent role in Luton, Bedfordshire. You will assemble and disassemble units to engineering drawings, perform pressure tests, and prepare equipment for despatch while maintaining 5S and safety.

The role offers a competitive £46,176 salary (inc shift premium), ongoing training and development, and a supportive team in a well-established engineering manufacturer with long-term stability.

Qualifications

• Experienced assembly/mechanical fitter in manufacturing environments.
• Mechanical qualifications desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble units to engineering drawings and quality plans.
• Perform pressure testing and dimensional reporting and strip/inspection reporting.
• Use measuring equipment and air-powered and electrical tools.
• Prepare units for despatch, including paint/prep, and maintain 5S standards.
• Adhere to safety practices and update jobs via ERP system.
