Job summary

Jark Stevenage is seeking an experienced Injection Mould Toolmaker to join their Stevenage factory. The role involves manufacture and modification of injection mould tools in a modern toolroom equipped with Hurco machining centres, Sodick eroders, and in-house design using Pro Engineer with CAM using Powermill.

You will perform milling, grinding, lathing and assembly tasks, and you must be able to work to tight deadlines while maintaining quality and safety in a small, dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Experience in injection mould toolmaking and high precision machining.
• Experience fitting and assembling complex mould tools including their repair.
• Ability to work to tight time scales without compromising quality and safety.
• Maintenance, repair and modification on Injection Mould Tools; preparing new mould tools for production.

Responsibilities

• Use of manual milling machines
• Use of lathes
• Use of surface and cylindrical grinders
• Use of manual and CNC spark eroders
• Use of CNC wire eroder
• Modification & Repair of Injection Mould Tools
• Manufacture and fitting of new injection mould tools
• Using hand tools such as files, hacksaws and grinders
• Experience in general toolmaking, milling, grinding and fitting
• Wiring of Hot runner systems and fault finding
