Job summary

Prime Appointments Ltd is seeking an experienced Toolmaker to join a growing engineering business and support the manufacture, repair and modification of injection mould tools. This hands-on role offers a clear pathway to progress into a Toolmaking & Management position as you develop.

You will repair and modify tools, manufacture new mould tools to specification, read engineering drawings and operate manual mills, lathes and grinders.

Qualifications

• Proven Toolmaking experience, ideally within injection mould tooling.
• Experience with manual milling, turning and grinding.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• CAD experience, ideally SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
• Wire erosion and CNC milling experience would be advantageous, training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Repair and modify injection mould tools.
• Manufacture new mould tools to specification.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Bench fitting and finishing work.
• Operate manual mills, lathes, surface grinders and spark eroders.
• Support CNC milling operations.
• Work with Mazak/Mazatrol and Bridgeport/Heidenhain systems.
• Take on increasing responsibility as you progress.

We're looking for a skilled Toolmaker to join a growing engineering business. This is a hands-on role working on the manufacture, repair and modification of injection mould tools, with a clear pathway to progress into a Toolmaking & Management position as you develop.

• Repair and modify injection mould tools
• Manufacture new mould tools to specification

• Carry out bench fitting and finishing work
• Operate manual mills, lathes, surface grinders and spark eroders
• Support CNC milling operations
• Work with Mazak/Mazatrol and Bridgeport/Heidenhain systems
• Support projects and take on increasing responsibility as you progress

About You:

We're looking for someone with:
