Mycronic RoBAT Ltd., based at our Macclesfield headquarters, seeks a skilled Fitter/Machinist to join a fast-paced production team assembling and machining RoBAT precision electrical test machines.

You will read technical drawings, operate mills and lathes, ensure quality workmanship, and collaborate to troubleshoot issues. A hands-on role requiring craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and with others.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified machinist/fitter with hands-on experience in mechanical assembly and fitting.
• Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in use of hand tools, measuring instruments, and standard workshop techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced production environment.
• Experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting is desirable.

Aufgaben

• Assembles and fits mechanical components and sub-assemblies for robotic test machines with precision.
• Operates milling machines, lathes, and workshop equipment to manufacture parts.
• Reads and interprets technical drawings and assembly instructions to ensure accurate builds.
• Maintains a clean, safe working environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Collaborates with team members to troubleshoot mechanical issues and improve machine performance.
• Performs detailed assembly and fitting tasks for small, intricate components.
• Supports machine upgrades, modifications and customisations as needed.
