Job summary

Luxfer MEL Technologies - UK in Greater Manchester (Swinton) is seeking an Extrusions Press Operator / Press Driver for the Manchester production team, focused on weld rod extrusion. This hands-on role requires following procedures to deliver consistent, high-quality output and accurate production records.

The role offers a nominal 24/5 shift pattern with a salary from £32,954, plus a direct worker bonus up to 14% and benefits including canteen, free parking, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or production with strict procedures, quality checks and accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion press equipment safely and in line with procedures.
• Support weld rod extrusion production and ensure steps are followed as instructed.
• Monitor process conditions and raise concerns if out of spec.
• Complete production records and handover information clearly and on time.
• Maintain high housekeeping, safety and area ownership.
