Job summary

Kingston Barnes Engineering is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to set and operate Fanuc-controlled turning machines at one of our UK sites. You will set tooling, fixtures and datums, read drawings, and monitor processes to optimise speeds and cycle times while maintaining quality and safety.

You will contribute to continuous improvement projects, prepare tooling, and perform in-process inspections with precision measuring equipment, working closely with engineers and other manufacturing

Qualifications

• Extensive experience setting and operating Fanuc-controlled CNC turning machines.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate Fanuc CNC turning machines.
• Set tooling, workpieces, fixtures and offsets.
• Manufacture soft jaws and prepare tooling.
• Produce precision components to tolerances.
• Read and interpret drawings, specs and GD&T.
• Monitor and optimize speeds, feeds and parameters.
• In-process inspections with precision equipment.
• Troubleshoot tooling, program and machine issues.
• Maintain production documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve processes.
• Support continuous improvement and maintain safety.
• Follow all policies and quality procedures.
