Job summary

TAIT, a leader in live experiences, is seeking a CNC Turn Machinist in the UK to produce high-precision turned components using CNC lathes, set up tooling, and ensure parts meet strict drawings. You will inspect parts with micrometres and bore gauges, optimise processes, support engineering and quality teams, and maintain a safe, organized production floor.

Experience with multi-axis turning, Fanuc/Siemens programming, and manual lathe operation is preferred; join a company offering strong

Qualifications

Experience with multi-axis CNC turning centers.
Familiarity with CNC programming (Fanuc, Siemens, etc.).
Knowledge of manual lathe operation and other conventional machinery.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC turning machines to manufacture precision components from drawings.
Perform in-process quality inspections with micrometres, calipers, bore gauges.
Load materials, select tooling and offsets, and ensure correct programming.
Monitor and adjust machining processes for quality and efficiency.
Troubleshoot minor machining and tooling issues on the shop floor.
Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area.
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues.
Interpret drawings, CAD data and process documentation accurately.
Carry out routine maintenance and basic machine troubleshooting.
Follow all health, safety and quality procedures.
