Job summary

TAIT is seeking a skilled CNC Turn Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. You will set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce high-precision components from technical drawings, while maintaining tight tolerances and process efficiency.

Success requires experience with multi-axis turning, familiarity with FANUC/Siemens controls, and a disciplined approach to quality. You will collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure on-time delivery and safe, organized

Qualifications

• Experience with multi-axis CNC turning centers.
• Familiarity with CNC programming (Fanuc, Siemens, etc.).
• Knowledge of manual lathe operation and other conventional machinery.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC turning machines (lathes) to manufacture precision components to technical drawings and specifications.
• Perform in-process quality inspections using micrometres, calipers, and bore gauges to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Load raw materials, select appropriate tooling and offsets, and ensure correct machine programming.
• Monitor and adjust machining processes to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot minor machining and tooling issues during production.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in line with company standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality departments to resolve production issues.
• Interpret technical drawings, CAD data, and process documentation accurately.
• Carry out routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on machines.
• Follow all company health, safety, and quality procedures.
