Job summary

TAIT partners with artists, brands, IP holders and place makers to bring culture-defining experiences to life. TAIT seeks a CNC Turn Machinist to produce high-precision turned components, setting up CNC lathes, inspecting parts, and ensuring compliance with drawings and specs.

You will work on a production floor alongside engineering and quality teams, maintaining safety and efficiency while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives at TAIT.

Qualifications

• Experience with multi-axis CNC turning centers.
• CNC programming knowledge (Fanuc, Siemens, etc.).
• Knowledge of manual lathe operation and conventional machinery.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC turning machines to manufacture precision components from technical drawings.
• Perform in-process quality inspections using micrometres, calipers and bore gauges.
• Load materials, select tooling and offsets, and ensure correct programming.
• Monitor and adjust machining processes to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot minor machining and tooling issues during production.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues.
• Interpret drawings, CAD data and process documentation accurately.
• Carry out routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on machines.
• Adhere to health, safety and quality procedures.
