Job summary

Pertemps Black Country Perms is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter to join their production team in Wednesbury. This permanent role offers daytime hours, steady workload, and opportunities to develop complex machining programs.

You will program, set and run CNC machines, proving out new programs, optimizing processes, and ensuring tight tolerances with FANUC or HURCO controls. Overtime and a supportive team are on offer.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' CNC programming experience.
• Experience in CNC Milling and/or CNC Turning (Lathe).
• Strong machining and manufacturing background.
• Ability to set, run and prove out CNC programs independently.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances and quality standards.
• Knowledge of FANUC, HURCO or similar control systems is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work.
• Positive, proactive and team‑oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC machinery.
• Prove out new programs and make adjustments where required.
• Optimise machining processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Work with FANUC, HURCO or similar CNC control systems.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Manufacture precision components to tight tolerances.
• Carry out quality inspections to ensure components meet required standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to achieve production targets.
