Pertemps West Bromwich is seeking an experienced CNC Setter/Operator for a manufacturing client in Wednesbury. You will set and operate CNC lathes to produce precision parts in line with drawings.

Reading engineering drawings, using measuring equipment and performing in-process quality checks are essential. You will work with the production and quality teams to ensure on-time, quality-focused output.

• Previous CNC setting and operating experience is essential.
• Experience in manufacturing or precision engineering is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Confident with measuring and inspection equipment.
• Understanding of tight tolerances and quality requirements.

Pertemps West Bromwich are looking for a CNC Setter/Operator on behalf of our manufacturing client in Wednesbury.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC lathes safely and efficiently.
• Manufacture precision parts and components to customer drawings and specifications.
• Read, understand and interpret engineering drawings.
• Use appropriate measuring equipment to ensure components meet required tolerances.
• Carry out in-process quality checks and inspections.
• Make machine adjustments where necessary to maintain product quality.
• Operate multiple machines where required.
• Work closely with the production and quality teams to ensure jobs are completed correctly and on time.

Required Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in CNC setting and operating is essential.
• Previous experience within the manufacturing or precision engineering industry is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Confident using measuring and inspection equipment.
• Good understanding of quality requirements and working to tight tolerances.

Hours & Pay

39 hours per week and 07:00am - 16:00pm and 07:00am-12:30pm Fridays.

The pay rate for this position is between £13.50 per hour and £17.00 per hour dependant on experience and skillset.
