Job summary

Optima UK Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC Polishing Technician in Leicester to join the Fabrication Team. You will set up and operate CNC polishing equipment and perform precision finishing, deburring, linishing and grinding to meet strict tolerance and surface quality specs.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, ensuring traceability, and maintaining high quality and safety standards. Rotating shifts from 6am to 10pm with appropriate break coverage are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC polishing or precision polishing equipment.
• Experience in deburring, linishing and grinding.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
• Experience using precision measurement and inspection equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to quality, safety and meeting production deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC polishing machinery.
• Carry out deburring, linishing and grinding operations to achieve the required finish and component specifications.
• Interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions.
• Adjust machine settings to achieve the required surface finish and accuracy.
• Carry out quality checks and identify surface defects.
• Handle, clean and inspect delicate optical components.
• Maintain accurate production records and product traceability.
• Follow quality, Health & Safety and housekeeping procedures.
• Support equipment maintenance and continuous improvement.
