Job summary

Aspion Search is recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller to join a well established UK machinery manufacturer. You will set and operate CNC milling machines, load and edit programmes, and interpret engineering drawings to produce components to exact specifications.

Qualifications

• At least 2 year’s experience setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience working within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of tooling, offsets and machine set up procedures.
• Ability to work accurately to tight tolerances.
• Experience with Hurco, Mori Seiki, VMC or similar machinery (desired).

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision engineered components.
• Load, edit and run CNC programmes to meet engineering specifications.
• Work from engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Manufacture components to tight tolerances and quality standards.
• Carry out quality inspections and dimensional checks on finished parts.
• Produce jigs and fixtures to support machining operations.
• Perform tool changes and tool offset adjustments as required.
• Monitor machine performance and respond to machine alarms.
• Complete routine machine maintenance checks and maintain records.
• Ensure work areas and machinery are kept clean, organised and safe.
• Support continuous improvement activities within the machine shop.
