Job summary

Precise Components Ltd in Milton Keynes/Northampton is seeking a full-time, on-site operator to work with CNC machinery, following drawings to precise specifications and supporting production processes.

You will set up machines, run production, perform basic maintenance, record production data, and collaborate to optimise workflows while upholding health and safety standards. The role offers room for growth in a modern, expanding workshop.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, ideally with CNC machinery or precision components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, with good problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of health and safety practices in an industrial setting.
• Effective communication and teamwork across levels of the organisation.
• Willingness to learn new technologies, processes and equipment as the company grows.
• Vocational training in engineering/manufacturing is beneficial but not essential.
• Previous experience in medical, aviation or defense sectors is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Machine setup and operation, monitoring production runs and performing basic maintenance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to optimise workflows and resolve production issues.
• Adhere to health and safety requirements and maintain accurate production records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.
