Job summary

Pertemps Northampton is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join its production team in Northampton. This full-time, permanent role involves operating CNC routers and saw equipment, setting up machinery and programmes, and preparing materials to tight tolerances from technical drawings.

You will read specifications, inspect finished components, minimise waste, and contribute to a safe, organised workshop.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC operating experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience setting and adjusting CNC machines.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Proven basic measuring skills; CAD/CAM experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC routers and saw machinery safely and efficiently.
• Set up machinery, tooling and programmes for production runs.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Accurately measure, cut and prepare materials to required standards.
• Carry out quality inspections throughout the production process.
• Minimise waste and ensure efficient use of materials.
