Job summary

The Workshop in New Milton is actively seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join the team on a permanent basis. You will set, program and operate CNC lathes and multi-axis machines to produce precision components.

The role offers scope for overtime and development as you read drawings and tackle varied production challenges. Ideal candidates will have hands-on CNC Turner experience, strong measurement skills and a proactive approach to quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience as a CNC Turner.
• Strong CNC machinery and tooling skills.
• Experience using precision measurement equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with a drive for results and improvement.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC lathes and 3- and 4-axis machinery.
• Turn, bore, thread, form and face metal and plastic materials.
• Use CNC tooling and precision measurement equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Handle and protect manufactured components, fabricated parts and assemblies.
• Identify and resolve machining and production issues.
• Maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail.
• Support continual improvement and changing production requirements.
