Job summary

Streamline Search Limited has an opening for a skilled CNC Miller who can program, set and operate Mazak milling centres to produce precision components to tight tolerances. You will read engineering drawings, select tooling and machining conditions, and write ISO-compatible programs.

A disciplined approach to quality and adherence to ISO 9001:2015 is essential, with a hands-on, proactive attitude. The role offers a competitive salary (£38,000-£42,000 DOE) and a standard Monday-Thursday days

Qualifications

• Strong experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Mazak CNC machinery experience is highly desirable.
• Experience with CNC machining centres and multi-axis milling.
• Experience reading detailed engineering drawings and specs.
• Good understanding of metal cutting processes and tooling.
• Experience in ISO 9001:2015 quality-controlled environment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Able to meet production set-up and run times.
• Positive, hands-on 'can do, will do' attitude.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate Mazak CNC centres to produce precision components.
• Read and interpret customer drawings and specifications.
• Determine milling methods and machining processes for each part.
• Write and edit Mazak and ISO CNC programs.
• Select cutting tools, inserts and machining conditions.
• Carry out first-off inspections to ensure specs are met.
• Create, store and maintain CNC programs.
• Review works orders and instructions for machining requirements.
• Monitor production quality and ensure components meet standards.
• Work to production times while maintaining high quality.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve machining methods and efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment per ISO 9001:2015.
