Job summary

Our Bob is recruiting an experienced Beam Saw Operator for its Halifax site. The role involves operating an SCM beam saw to cut MFC, MDF, chipboard, plywood and laminated boards, following cutting lists and optimisation patterns.

You will load materials safely, check dimensions, and prepare panels for the next stage of production in a two-person team. Applicants should have previous beam saw experience; SCM experience is a strong advantage, with familiarity of related equipment such as

Qualifications

• Experience operating a beam saw is required.
• SCM beam saw experience preferred; Holzma/Homag allowed.
• Good numeracy and accurate measuring skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate SCM beam saw to produce panels.
• Read and follow cutting lists, patterns and drawings.
• Load and unload sheet materials safely.
• Check dimensions and finish quality of panels.
• Label and stack cut components for next production stage.
• Change and set saw blades when required.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and report faults.
