Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a permanent Assembly Operator to join the Product Support team on the shop floor at Peregrine House in the UK. You will assemble drives and related products, conduct quality checks and support broader production processes.

Responsibilities include following assembly instructions, maintaining a clean work area, monitoring stock, and assisting with goods-in, dispatch, testing and stock control. Training and development are offered to build technical skills.

Qualifications

• Understanding of product assembly in engineering/manufacturing.
• Detail-oriented with a methodical approach to practical work.
• Ability to follow technical instructions and quality procedures.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn assembly techniques, testing procedures and product support processes.

Responsibilities

• Assembling products accurately and efficiently in line with production requirements.
• Carrying out post-assembly inspections and checks to ensure products meet quality standards.
• Following assembly instructions, processes and workplace safety procedures.
• Maintaining a tidy and organised work area.
• Monitoring stock levels and replenishing materials required for assembly tasks.
• Supporting goods-in, dispatch, testing and stock control activities when required.
• Identifying potential process improvements and contributing to efficient production.
• Working collaboratively to meet production targets while maintaining a right-first-time approach.
