Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a permanent Assembly Operator to join its Product Support team on the shop floor at Peregrine House. You will assemble drives and other products accurately, carry out post-assembly inspections and support the wider production process.

Full training can be provided to develop assembly, testing and troubleshooting skills, with the chance to contribute to process improvements and build technical competence within an engineering production environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in product assembly within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to practical work.
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and quality procedures.
  • Willingness to learn assembly techniques and testing procedures.

  • Maintain a tidy and organised work area.

  • Identify potential process improvements and contribute to efficient production.
  • Work collaboratively to meet production targets while maintaining a right-first-time approach.

Our client, an established engineering business, is seeking a permanent Assembly Operator to join its Product Support team. Based on the shop floor at Peregrine House, the role involves assembling drives and other products accurately, completing quality checks and supporting the wider production process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assembling products accurately and efficiently in line with production requirements
  • Carrying out post-assembly inspections and checks to ensure products meet quality standards
  • Following assembly instructions, processes and workplace safety procedures
  • Maintaining a tidy and organised work area
  • Monitoring stock levels and replenishing materials required for assembly tasks
  • Supporting goods-in, dispatch, testing and stock control activities when required
  • Identifying potential process improvements and contributing to efficient production
  • Working collaboratively to meet production targets while maintaining a right-first-time approach
Job Requirements:
  • Understanding of product assembly within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to practical work
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and quality procedures
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • A strong sense of responsibility and commitment to workplace safety
  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team
  • Soldering skills would be beneficial, although training can be provided
  • Willingness to learn assembly techniques, testing procedures and product support processes
Working Conditions:
  • Permanent position based on the shop floor
  • Working hours of 8.00 am to 4.50 pm Monday to Thursday
  • Working hours of 8.00 am to 12.10 pm on Fridays
  • Role involves standing for extended periods and lifting as required
  • No travel is required
Training and Development:


Full training can be provided to support the development of assembly, soldering, testing and troubleshooting skills. The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and build technical competence within an engineering production environment.
