Job summary

MANPOWER in the United Kingdom is seeking a Production Assembly Technician to join a precision‑engineering environment. You will assemble precision‑engineered components, test and inspect to ensure specifications are met, and carry out incoming quality checks on components and materials.

This role requires 2 years in manufacturing or related fields, strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow technical drawings or SOPs.

Qualifications

• 2 years+ experience in manufacturing, engineering, assembly or technical production.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle small, delicate components.
• Strong manual dexterity and precision handling skills.
• Experience following technical drawings, instructions, or SOPs.
• Good written, verbal, and IT skills.
• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Engineering qualification, apprenticeship, ONC/OND or similar technical qualification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assemble precision‑engineered components per detailed work instructions.
• Carry out testing and inspection to ensure products meet specifications.
• Conduct incoming quality checks on components and materials.
• Follow alignment and optimisation procedures during build.
• Complete production and test documentation accurately.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and fault finding within defined procedures.
• Maintain adherence to quality, production, and safety standards.
• Work towards production targets while maintaining quality.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
