Job summary

Amey is seeking a Pre-Site Technician to join our on-site team at Gailey depot, supporting planning and inspection activities to ensure right-first-time delivery on highways maintenance projects.

The role involves site inspections, safety compliance, traffic management planning, and liaising with controllers and supervisors.

We offer 40-hour weeks, flexible working patterns, and development opportunities across UK sites.

Qualifications

• CITB Site Safety Management or equivalent required.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• CSCS card required.
• Organised and proactive with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan for right materials, orders, and traffic management and arrange for advance signing.
• Ensure the work can be carried out safely per current legislation and environmental/noise rules.
• Check that the work complies with TM layout and safety requirements.
• Ensure risk assessments, method statements, and public utility information are available; SHARC permit prepared.
• Coordinate with OCR controller, data controller, and supervisors to complete works efficiently.
