Job summary

LEEDON LOWER SCHOOL is seeking an experienced Pre-School Manager to lead our EYFS provision. The role is full time, 8.00am to 4.30pm during term time (40 weeks plus 5 inset days).

The successful candidate will supervise a small EYFS team, ensure safeguarding, maintain high standards of learning, and collaborate with parents and external professionals. You will have an NVQ Level 3/4 or equivalent, strong leadership, budgeting and admissions experience, and a proactive, child-centered approach to

• Proven experience in a pre-school setting.
• NVQ Level 3/4 or equivalent qualification.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and SENCO responsibilities.
• Ability to plan and implement a pre-school curriculum.
• Skilled in building relationships with parents and encouraging involvement.
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork abilities.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a small EYFS team within a safe, inclusive preschool.
• Ensure safeguarding compliance and maintain EYFS quality standards.
• Collaborate with parents, carers and external professionals as needed.
• Oversee admissions, invoicing and budgeting for the setting.
• Liaise with school leadership to align pre-school with broader policies.

PRE-SCHOOL MANAGER AT LEEDON LOWER SCHOOL

FULL TIME - 8.00AM TO 4.30PM (ONE HOUR UNPAID LUNCH)

TERM TIME ONLY - 40 WEEKS PLUS 5 INSET DAYS

MINIMUM NVQ LEVEL 3 WITH RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

We are looking to appoint a Pre-School Manager. The ideal candidate will be caring, patient, self-motivated and able to work from their own initiative. They will support the school to establish a safe, happy and inclusive pre-school where children thrive in their learning and personal development.

We are looking for individuals who:

• Have a track record of excellent progress and high quality teaching and learning
• A sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
• Will be proactive, positive, calm and flexible
• Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and all safeguarding, health, and safety requirements
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and the wider community
• Liaise with external professionals and agencies as necessary to support children with SEND and ensure appropriate strategies and support plans are in place
• Have high expectations of themselves and the children they work with
• Have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
• Will be committed to working as part of a team
• Will support and lead a small team of EYFS staff and work with the closely and collaboratively with the school leadership team
• Will have experience of admissions, invoicing and budget management

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
