Job summary

Fortinet is seeking a Systems Engineer to support Financial Services & Insurance customers across the UK. You will work with sales and account teams to design and position security solutions for large, complex enterprises, including hybrid cloud and Zero Trust architectures.

The role requires strong pre-sales experience, deep cybersecurity knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must already be based in the UK with full right to work.
• Experience in a pre-sales engineering, technical consulting, or customer-facing technical role.
• Experience with Financial Services or Insurance customers, or other highly regulated enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity technologies including Network Security, SASE, SD-WAN, Zero Trust, SOC technologies, Cloud Security, and Secure Access.
• Experience designing solutions for complex enterprise environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical teams and senior business stakeholders.
• Industry certifications such as NSE, CISSP, CCNP or equivalent are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical engagements across the sales lifecycle, including discovery workshops, solution design, presentations, and proof-of-concepts.
• Translate customer business and technical requirements into scalable Fortinet architectures.
• Deliver compelling product demonstrations, architecture workshops, and executive-level whiteboarding sessions.
• Partner closely with customers, channel partners, and internal teams to develop security strategies aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain deep expertise across Fortinet's portfolio, cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and technologies relevant to the FSI sector.
• Support RFI/RFP responses and maintain accurate technical documentation within Salesforce.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor and mentor to colleagues and partners.
