Job Description
NECSWS has an excellent opportunity for a Presales professional. We are seeking a candidate with specific knowledge of the Public Safety sector, covering areas such as Police, Fire, Ambulance, or Transport.
An essential requirement is experience in product demonstrations and tender responses.
Main responsibilities:
The candidate will join the Safety pre-sales team and will be responsible for:
- Assisting the sales team with bid responses by collaborating with product, development, and portfolio teams as needed.
- Configuring, building, and demonstrating NEC Safety products.
- Interpreting demonstration scenarios from customers to design appropriate product configurations.
- Demonstrating the overview and detailed functionalities of the NEC Safety portfolio to support new business and account management presentations.
- Serving as a subject matter expert for product-related questions during the sales process.
- Gaining a good understanding of associated Safety product offerings such as control rooms, operational policing, evidence management, biometrics, and managed services.
NECSWS offers roles for both junior and senior pre-sales professionals. Senior roles involve working on major bids over £20m, covering infrastructure, applications, and services.
Qualifications
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Hands-on presales experience or proven presentation capabilities, gained in the private sector with public sector customers or within public sector organizations.
- Good working knowledge of the Safety business arena.
- Experience with Control Rooms, Operational Policing, Evidence Management/Data Analytics, or Managed Services.
Ideally, you will have:
- Knowledge and experience of the Public Safety market.
- Understanding of customer requirements in the Public Safety sector.
- Government security clearance.
- Full understanding of the Government & Safety environment and its drivers.
- Awareness of current market competition.
- Ability to interact effectively with high-level managers and senior officers.
- A focus on customer retention and satisfaction.
- Adaptability to different demonstration situations.
- Ability to deliver high-quality, complex demonstrations within tight deadlines.
- Support skills for preparing written proposals and following up with prospects post-demonstration.
- Acting as an ambassador for NEC capabilities internally and externally.
Personal Skills:
- Self-reliant with strong team collaboration skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, able to work with minimal guidance.
- Strong written skills, especially in bid responses.
- Relationship-building skills to develop internal and external contacts.
- Effective time management and resource planning.
- Willingness to travel and hold a valid UK/EC driving license.
