Prospect Park Hospital in Reading is recruiting Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technician Apprentices to join our pharmacy team. The programme runs for 24 months with rotations across dispensary, pharmacy stores, medicines information, medicines safety and wards, with regular appraisal and supervision.

The role includes completing the Certificate of Higher Education in Pharmacy Technician Practice, participating in late duties from 10:00 to 18:00, and engaging in training and development activities

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of five GCSEs at grade A-C/9-4, including Mathematics, English and Science qualifications.
• Previous experience of working within a pharmacy setting is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Complete the Certificate of Higher Education in Pharmacy Technician Practice apprenticeship over 24 months.
• Spend rotations within all areas of the department.
• Work on mental health wards and/or community health wards to complete ward-based learning.
• Participate in the late duty rota from 10:00 to 18:00.
• Participate in departmental training to develop objectives and leadership skills.
• Engage in regular 1:1 meetings with line manager and college tutors.
• Rotate through dispensary, pharmacy stores, medicines information, medicines safety, wards and accuracy checking.
