Job summary
Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technician apprenticeship based at Prospect Park Hospital, Reading. The two-year program includes rotations through dispensary, stores, medicines information and safety, with ward and community health placement.

Qualifications
- Five GCSEs including Maths, English and Science (A-C/9-4).
- Computer literacy with Microsoft packages and databases.
- Previous pharmacy experience is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Complete the Certificate of Higher Education in Pharmacy Technician Practice apprenticeship over 24 months.
- Rotations across dispensary, pharmacy stores, medicines information, medicines safety, wards and accuracy checking.
- Ward-based learning on mental health and community health wards for the apprenticeship.
- Participate in the late duty rota (hours 10-6).
- Engage in departmental training and regular 1:1 meetings with line manager and tutors.
