Job summary

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is offering a Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician Apprentice position as part of a 2-year fixed-term training post, starting February 2027. The role includes working toward a Level 4 Certificate in Pharmacy Technicians with hybrid learning, applying skills across community hospital, home, and clinic settings.

Under supervision, you will dispense, reconcile medicines, and participate in Medicines Optimisation while travelling across the Trust

Qualifications

• GCSEs incl English language, maths and at least one science subject.
• Level 2 pharmacy course and/or some pharmacy experience.
• Customer service experience or working with people.
• Awareness of NHS priorities, medicines optimisation and patient safety principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in dispensing and accuracy checking under supervision.
• Contribute to medicines reconciliation and optimisation.
• Involve patients and carers in decisions related to medicines and safety.
• Allocate weekly time for underpinning knowledge learning for the apprenticeship.
• Support own learning and meet deadlines.
