Job summary

Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a part-time Pre-Op Assessment Practitioner (28 hours/week) for the Pre-Op Team. You will assess patients, plan and implement care, and provide specialist advice in a busy pre-operative clinic.

Key duties include conducting clinical examinations, ECGs, recording results and supporting MDTs, with opportunities to develop pathways and SOPs and to contribute to service improvements.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse or operating department practitioner with NHS experience.
• Experience in pre-operative assessment or similar clinical pathway.
• Clinical examination course preferred or willing to undertake training.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and plan/implement care with specialist advice.
• Carry out specialist nursing procedures including ECGs and documentation.
• Educate and support registered and non-registered staff.
• Assist in managing the department and developing SOPs.
• Contribute to service development and performance reviews.
