Job summary

Luddon Construction Limited is seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Manager to lead our pre-construction function and drive successful bid development for major infrastructure and civil projects across the UK.

You will coordinate tender submissions, lead risk reviews, develop delivery strategies and build client and supplier relationships to position opportunities for win, with delivery from the outset in mind.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in civil engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in pre-construction, estimating, or commercial role in civil/construction.
• Strong tendering, procurement and delivery process knowledge.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
• Excellent commercial awareness and contractual understanding.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience with NEC contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction activities from opportunity identification to contract award.
• Develop tender strategies and manage bid submissions.
• Coordinate technical, commercial and operational inputs for tender submissions.
• Review tender documents to identify risks, opportunities and key deliverables.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Oversee preparation of methodologies, programmes and technical submissions.
• Support pricing strategy and tender reviews.
• Lead handovers from pre-construction to delivery teams.
