Job summary

Luddon Construction Limited in Bellshill is seeking a Pre-Construction Coordinator to steer planning, coordination and management of pre-construction activities from enquiry through contract award.

You will work with engineering, commercial and operational teams, assist with tenders, supplier engagement, programme development and cost estimates, ensuring timely, accurate submissions and smooth handovers to delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil engineering, construction, project coordination or commercial role.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience supporting tendering, estimating or pre-construction activities - 1 year preferred
• Knowledge of civil engineering and infrastructure projects - 2 years preferred
• Familiarity with NEC contracts.
• Experience preparing technical submissions and methodology documentation.
• Knowledge of programming and planning software.
• Experience within utilities, infrastructure or energy sectors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate pre-construction activities from enquiry to contract award.
• Support the preparation and submission of tenders and client proposals.
• Assist in the development of project programmes, methodologies and technical submissions.
• Obtain and analyse quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Support the preparation of cost estimates, budgets and tender returns.
• Coordinate inputs from engineering, commercial and operational teams.
• Maintain tender registers, opportunity trackers and pre-construction records.
• Organise and attend tender review meetings and client discussions.
• Assist in identifying project risks and opportunities during the tender stage.
• Support supplier and subcontractor engagement throughout the bid process.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Support the identification and tracking of future business opportunities.
