O'Neill & Brennan is seeking a Pre-Construction Manager to join its Surrey team. The role focuses on coordinating pre-construction activities, reviewing designs and risks, and setting up policy and processes to drive successful tenders and mobilisation.

You will lead design coordination with architects and engineers, manage subcontractor tendering, and collaborate with commercial and estimating teams to develop robust budgets and tender submissions for defence-focused projects across the south

Qualifikationen

• General main contracting experience.
• Pre Con Management experience.
• Be currently employed by a main contractor.
• Be within commutable distance to Central London.
• Experience of Planning, design management or Bid Management.

Aufgaben

• Lead the pre-construction process from initial enquiry, tender and bid stage through to contract award and project mobilisation.
• Review project drawings, specifications, scopes and employer's requirements, identifying design, programme, procurement, buildability and commercial risks.
• Develop detailed pre-construction programmes, procurement strategies, tender packages and project execution plans.
• Coordinate with architects, designers, MEP consultants, structural engineers and specialist subcontractors to ensure proposals are fully coordinated and deliverable.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier tendering, including issuing enquiries, reviewing returns, negotiating costs and preparing comparisons.
• Work closely with the Commercial and Estimating teams to develop accurate budgets, cost plans, value engineering proposals and tender submissions.
• Lead value engineering and buildability reviews, identifying opportunities to improve cost, programme and quality without compromising the client's requirements.
• Prepare and present tender submissions, methodologies, programmes, preliminaries and client presentations.
• Attend and lead client, consultant and design team meetings, acting as a key point of contact throughout pre-construction.

This is a brilliant and well-timed opportunity for this growing division within a leading major contractor. Having been successful in delivering various projects recently and being awarded new contracts for the coming 12 months, they have an immediate requirement for a Pre-Construction Manager to join the growing team.

Our client is a division within a large contractor, who specialise in Defence contracts over the south of England. They are looking for a Pre-Construction Manager with a general contracting background and varied project portfolio to step into coordinate and largely set up policy and processes.

The role will include managing design, contract risk, making sure price is scrutinised and correct, the programme and how they will deliver for the client and also protect the business.
