Job summary

Penguin Recruitment in the West Midlands is seeking a Pre-Commission Water Hygiene Engineer to join a nationwide contract team. You will perform pre-commission cleaning, flushing, testing and remediation across multiple sites while ensuring compliance with ACOP L8 guidelines.

The role offers a £30,000–£35,000 basic salary (depending on experience), a company van, and genuine investment in your development. Expect varied nationwide projects, flexibility, and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in water treatment/water hygiene.
• Water hygiene qualifications and DBS check may be required.
• Full clean UK driving licence is essential.
• Flexibility to travel nationwide and work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Pre-commission cleaning, flushing, and closed system testing/remediation.
• Tank, storage, and cooling tower disinfection, cleaning, and chlorination.
• TMV testing/servicing and shower head descaling/disinfection.
• Temperature monitoring, water sampling, and dead leg removals.
• Work in compliance with ACOP L8 guidelines.

What we are looking for:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in water treatment/water hygiene

• Ability to obtain a full enhanced DBS
