Job summary

Spire Claremont Hospital in Sheffield is seeking an experienced Administrator for the Pre-Assessment department on a 6-month fixed term contract. The role is part-time, 20 hours per week, and involves ensuring all essential data is captured and available for patient pre-operative assessment and admission dates.

You will work with clinical teams to maintain accuracy of notes, readiness of GP referrals, medical records and related paperwork while delivering excellent patient service in a busy

Qualifications

• Good standard of secondary education with demonstrable literacy and numeracy skills.
• Track record of successful delivery in an office or customer service environment.
• System literacy and knowledge of PSS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan ahead from Clinic and TCI lists to ensure data on site for pre-operative assessment and admission dates.
• Capture short, dated bookings within 7 days and ensure minimum data set is available.
• Maintain accuracy of notes, documents and checklists.
• Maintain hospital and departmental filing systems (electronic and manual).
• Use track file to receive and return medical notes between departments.
• Handle patient information in compliance with Data Protection Act and hospital policies.
• Assist with capturing ePOA questionnaires by contacting patients.
• Book mini clinic appointments and capture GP summaries for POA.
