Job summary

Athona Ltd is seeking an experienced Practitioner Psychologist to join a specialist mental health service in West Sussex, providing high-quality psychological assessment and interventions for individuals with complex presentations. The role is to work within a multidisciplinary team delivering assessments, formulations, therapeutic interventions and care planning.

The position is permanent, initially covering a 12-month maternity leave, with a salary of £55,000 per annum and full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Requires BPS-recognised psychology qualifications and appropriate postgraduate qualifications.
• Active HCPC registration and Chartered Psychologist status.
• Approved supervisor status per BPS guidelines.
• Experience applying psychology in clinical settings.
• Experience with complex presentations and cognitive deficits.

Responsibilities

• Undertake specialist psychological assessments for service users with complex presentations.
• Deliver individual and group psychological interventions using evidence-based approaches.
• Complete diagnostic and cognitive assessments using appropriate tools.
• Develop and implement specialist psychological treatment and management plans.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to support positive outcomes.
• Complete clinical risk assessments and make autonomous clinical decisions.
• Facilitate reflective practice sessions and contribute to staff training.

Currently we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Practitioner Psychologist to join a specialist mental health service in West Sussex, supporting individuals with complex presentations and delivering high-quality psychological assessment and intervention.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Psychologist to work within a multidisciplinary team, providing specialist psychological input across assessment, formulation, therapeutic intervention and care planning.

Your key responsibilities will be;

• Experience working with complex presentations and cognitive deficits.
