Job summary

Athona Ltd is seeking an experienced Practitioner Psychologist to join a specialist mental health service in West Sussex, providing high-quality psychological assessment and interventions for individuals with complex presentations. The role is to work within a multidisciplinary team delivering assessments, formulations, therapeutic interventions and care planning.

The position is permanent, initially covering a 12-month maternity leave, with a salary of £55,000 per annum and full-time hours.

Qualifications

Requires BPS-recognised psychology qualifications and appropriate postgraduate qualifications.
Active HCPC registration and Chartered Psychologist status.
Approved supervisor status per BPS guidelines.
Experience applying psychology in clinical settings.
Experience with complex presentations and cognitive deficits.

Responsibilities

Undertake specialist psychological assessments for service users with complex presentations.
Deliver individual and group psychological interventions using evidence-based approaches.
Complete diagnostic and cognitive assessments using appropriate tools.
Develop and implement specialist psychological treatment and management plans.
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to support positive outcomes.
Complete clinical risk assessments and make autonomous clinical decisions.
Facilitate reflective practice sessions and contribute to staff training.
