Job summary

Arbury Court, a medium/low secure service for women, requires a Practitioner Psychologist to work under the Consultant Psychologist, delivering direct and indirect interventions and conducting diagnostic and cognitive assessments for a complex caseload.

You will contribute to staff reflective practice, design training, and uphold HCPC standards within a multidisciplinary team, including risk assessments and care planning.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate qualification in psychology
• HCPC registration
• Experience applying psychological knowledge in clinical or neuro settings
• Experience carrying a caseload and delivering specialist treatment

Responsibilities

• Carry a caseload of women with personality disorder and mental illness, assessing complex needs
• Deliver individual and group psychological interventions
• Design and deliver specialist psychological treatment plans that support care plans
• Carry out diagnostic and cognitive assessments using structured psychometric and clinical methods
• Undertake risk assessments within the multidisciplinary team
• Assess referrals and provide initial assessments
• Facilitate staff reflective practice sessions
• Design and deliver training
• Make autonomous clinical decisions and be accountable for clinical work
• Maintain HCPC standards of conduct and policies

Job description

Practitioner Psychologist post at Arbury Court, a medium and low secure and psychiatric intensive care service for women aged 18 and over with personality disorder and mental illness, run by Elysium Healthcare. The work centres on individual and group psychological interventions, diagnostic and cognitive assessments and risk assessments for a caseload of complex patients. The post reports to the Consultant Psychologist and also covers staff reflective practice sessions and designing training. Applicants need HCPC registration and post-graduate qualifications.

What the job involves
