Job summary

Elysium Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Psychologist for a part-time post at Crossley Place, a specialist service for women with complex mental health needs. The role involves carrying a caseload, delivering individual and group interventions, and developing treatment plans.

HCPC registration and Chartered Psychologist status are required. The position includes staff training, reflective practice, and close MDT collaboration within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration and Chartered Psychologist status required.
• BPS recognised psychology degree with post-graduate qualifications.
• Approved supervisor under BPS and relevant guidelines.
• Experience applying psychology in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Carry a service user caseload, assessing complex needs.
• Deliver individual and group interventions, direct and indirect.
• Design and deliver specialist psychological treatments to support care plans.
• Formulate treatment plans from a multi-factorial psychological understanding and current evidence.
• Carry out diagnostic and cognitive assessments using structured psychometric and semi-structured methods.
• Carry out risk assessments.
• Take part in MDT working.
• Take part in assessment of referrals and provide initial assessment.
• Facilitate staff reflective practice sessions.
• Design and deliver training.
• Maintain standards in line with HCPC Code of Conduct and company policies.

Job description

This Clinical Psychologist post sits within Crossley Place, a specialist apartment-based service run by Elysium Healthcare for women with complex mental health needs. The work centres on carrying a caseload, with individual and group interventions, diagnostic and cognitive assessments, risk assessments and specialist psychological treatment plans. The role is part-time at 22.5 hours a week and reports to the Consultant Psychologist, with staff reflective practice and training also in scope. HCPC registration and Chartered Psychologist status are required.
