Job summary

Waterside Medical Practice on Hayling Island invites a compassionate Practice Nurse to join the friendly team. You will deliver high-quality nursing care to all ages, promoting health, preventing disease, and supporting long-term condition management within a patient-centred approach.

The role requires delivering vaccinations, cervical screening, wound care, venepuncture, and clinical procedures, while maintaining excellent records and working closely with GPs, HCAs, pharmacists and the wider

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Experience in primary care or general practice settings.
• Competent in cervical cytology, wound care, vaccinations and routine procedures.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a broad range of general practice nursing services per guidance and protocols.
• Undertake cervical screening and support women's health initiatives.
• Administer routine vaccines (influenza, shingles, COVID-19, pneumococcal).
• Deliver childhood immunisations and manage wounds and dressings.
• Provide travel health advice and travel vaccinations.
• Perform venepuncture, BP monitoring, ECGs and other procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records using SystmOne.
• Support infection prevention and collaborate with the MDT.
