Job summary

The Grove Medical Centre is seeking an experienced practice nurse to join our GP surgery. The role focuses on routine nursing care, cervical screening, immunisations and health checks, with management of long-term conditions like asthma and diabetes.

You will work alongside GPs and healthcare assistants, performing ECGs and basic diagnostic tests. Previous primary care experience and NMC registration are required.

Qualifications

• Previous primary care experience.
• NMC registration.
• Immunisations and long-term condition management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Deliver routine nursing care to patients.
• Carry out immunisations and vaccinations for adults and children.
• Perform cervical screening.
• Undertake health checks.
• Monitor and manage long-term conditions such as asthma, diabetes and hypertension.
• Conduct ECGs and basic diagnostic tests.
• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate patient care.
• Give advice on general health and disease prevention.
• Promote healthy lifestyle choices such as smoking cessation and weight management.
• Keep accurate patient records and document consultations and care plans.
