Reports to: Practice Manager / Lead Nurse
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Practice Nurse will work closely with our General Practitioners (GPs) and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to patients in a community setting. The role involves carrying out clinical duties such as administering vaccinations, assisting with chronic disease management, and providing health education.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Care: * Perform routine health checks, blood pressure monitoring, and basic medical assessments. * Administer vaccinations (e.g., flu, childhood immunizations). * Assist in the management of long-term conditions, such as asthma, diabetes, and hypertension. * Provide wound care, dressing changes, and removal of sutures. * Take blood samples and perform basic laboratory tests. * Assist in minor surgical procedures as required.
Qualifications And Skills Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) pin. Experience working in a general practice or primary care setting is preferred. Knowledge of current nursing practices and relevant clinical guidelines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage patient care efficiently and demonstrate empathy. Basic life support (BLS) certification and knowledge of infection control procedures. Organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
