Job summary

The Surgery is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Ayr Town Centre practice. You will manage administrative and nursing teams, drive service improvements, and ensure patient-centered care in a busy, NHS-related environment.

You will work with external accountants and ensure compliance with local NHS governance and regulatory requirements, while developing strong internal processes and staff development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a management role, ideally within healthcare or NHS settings.
• Strong leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills for a multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience in financial management and working with external accountants.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day running of the practice and lead administrative and nursing teams.
• Develop and implement service improvement initiatives while ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Manage resource allocation, premises, governance and regulatory compliance.
• Support HR processes and Data Protection within the practice.
