Job summary

IVC Evidensia is seeking a people-focused Practice Manager to lead the non-clinical operations across Oakmount Vets (Burnley) and Kingsway Veterinary Hospital (Skipton). This full-time role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, reporting to the Director of Practice and supported by a wider management team.

You will drive operational delivery, people management and compliance while delivering an exceptional client journey.

Qualifications

• Experience in a management role, ideally within healthcare, veterinary, or service-led environments.
• Strong people management skills with performance management and team development.
• Excellent operational and organisational capability with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience handling complaints, change, and complex situations with confidence.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and develop the non-clinical team, creating a positive and collaborative culture
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows
• Deliver an excellent client journey from first contact through to follow-up care
• Manage rotas, recruitment, onboarding, and team development
• Support financial processes including invoicing, payroll, and stock control
• Monitor performance and support practice growth and improvements
• Ensure compliance with RCVS standards, health & safety, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain facilities, equipment, and stock levels
• Handle client feedback and resolve issues professionally
• Support marketing and community engagement initiatives

Salary up to £45,000 DOE

We have an exciting opportunity for a people-focused and motivated Practice Manager to join us in a brand-new role working across two IVC brands, Oakmount Vets and Kingsway Veterinary Hospital. You will work closely with the Director of Practice and be supported by a wider management team. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As Practice Manager, you will lead the non-clinical operations of the practice, working closely with clinical leadership to ensure efficient day-to-day running, strong team performance, and an outstanding client experience.
You’ll be responsible for operational delivery, people management, and compliance, while supporting the practice to achieve its performance, quality, and service objectives. This role plays a key part in creating a positive culture and enabling clinical teams to deliver excellent care.

Key Responsibilities:
